Easily prepare a foot bath with sea salt and lemon

A foot bath with sea salt and lemon is a refreshing and caring way to pamper your feet. Here are simple instructions on how to make it yourself.

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 tablespoons of sea salt (unrefined is best)
  • 1-2 lemons (freshly squeezed juice)
  • Warm water (about 2-3 litres)
  • Optional: a few drops of essential oil (e.g. tea tree oil or lavender oil) for added fragrance and care.

Instructions:

  • Fill a foot bath or a large bowl with warm water – enough to submerge your feet. The water temperature should be pleasantly warm, but not too hot.
  • Add the sea salt to the warm water and stir well to completely dissolve it. Sea salt helps to sooth and nourish the skin.
  • Squeeze the juice of 1–2 lemons and add it to the water. The lemon has a refreshing effect and helps to cleanse the skin.
  • If you like, you can also add a few drops of essential oil to make the foot bath even more aromatic and beneficial. Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties, while lavender oil has a calming effect.
  • Put your feet in the water and let them relax for about 15–20 minutes. Use the time to read a book or simply enjoy the peace and quiet.
  • After the foot bath, you can rinse your feet with clear water and then apply a nourishing foot cream.

A foot bath with sea salt and lemon is particularly pleasant after a long day and helps to refresh and care for the skin.
