For lasting well-being at home, we recommend a simple recipe for a natural face scrub and mask that will leave your skin soft and radiant.
Natural DIY face scrub
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons whole cane sugar – gentle exfoliation
- 1/2 teaspoon lavender – soothing, healing, calming
- 1 teaspoon water or vegetable oil (e.g. coconut, olive or almond oil)
Directions for use:
Apply the scrub to slightly damp skin and massage in with gentle, circular movements. Then rinse thoroughly.
Tip: Replace the sugar with salt for an effective body scrub. Caution: Salt is not suitable for the face, as it has a drying effect and can irritate the skin.
Homemade face mask
Ingredients:
- 1/2 banana – nourishes and firms the skin. The peel can also be used for acne or redness, as it contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents such as lutein and carotenoids.
- 1/2 tsp coffee powder – astringent and skin-tightening
How to use:
Mix the ingredients well and apply the mask to clean, dry skin, working from the centre of the face outwards using gentle, circular movements. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water and gently pat the skin dry.
